Time Warner not providing CableCARDs for TiVo Series 3?

Consumer Fury has a post detailing an email exchange with Time Warner of Raleigh, NC. In the exchange, Time Warner states that they will not provide CableCARDs for use with TiVo Series 3 (which comes out later this year).

CableCARDs allows devices such as TiVos and newer televisions to tune into digital channels without the need for the crappy set-top boxes from cable providers. Cable providers are required to offer CableCARDs by the FCC so hopefully this is just a case of Time Warner being a pain in the ass.

Narbacular Drop

Some students at the game programming school, Digipen, produced this cool FPSish game, Narbacular Drop, where your only weapon is the ability to place two portals which you can then walk through.

This game is about a year old, but it is in the news because these guys were apparently hired by Valve, and a game based on this mechanism called Half Life 2: Portals, will be released with Half Life 2: Episode Two.

Narbacular Drop is free and short so give it a try.

Trauma Center

Finally picked up a copy of Trauma Center. This game has been sold out everywhere so I had to pick it up off of eBay.

The game has been a blast so far. For the time being, I think it's my favorite DS game. Now I have to track down a copy of Phoenix Wright.
